Zero by Zero's 2012 year in review. Highlights include exhibitions in Kobe, Rokko, and Hitachinaka, the studio move from Kanda to Minowa, music collaborations with Brilliant Noise, and the DSA Design Space Award for Drops of Light.
In December 2012, joined 'Kita-Aoyama ∞ KOBE BIENNALE,' a Tokyo group show of artists awarded at the Kobe Biennale 2011 Koka-shita Art Project (Orie Art Gallery, December 3–14).
Returned to Rokko Meets Art on Mt. Rokko, Kobe (September 15 – November 25, 2012) for a second time after 'Kaleidosky' in 2010, presenting a new larger-scale installation woven into the mountain landscape.
Exhibited at Minato Media Museum 2012 (August 5 – September 1) along the Minato Line in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki. Showed 'White Dots Train' on a retired railcar and 'Brilliant Noise' on the platform of Nakaminato Station.
Opened the new oxoxo studio in Minowa, Tokyo on July 1, 2012, after the move from Kanda. Installation works were shown alongside friendly live performances and DJ sets.
Exhibited the installation 'White Dots Columns' — seven-sided prismatic punched panels whose patterns shift as you walk past — at Kobe Art Way (Shinkaichi–Motoko), KAVC, March 16–20, 2012.
Exhibited sound-synchronized works at 'Nishichiba Genshushugi — Attarashii Jiyu.' at Funabashi ORANGE on March 3, 2012, part of the 30th anniversary of Chiba University's contemporary art circle ArtPublicity.
Exhibited 'Brilliant Noise' at Kobe Biennale 2011 (October 1 – November 23) under the Motomachi elevated tracks. Dozens of bulbs responded in light to voices, cars, and trains rumbling overhead.
