Zero by Zero's redesign of the "Naebasan" Japanese sake (one-cup) won the Roooots Re-Design Local Specialties Project 2012 (organized by loftwork), and was commercialized for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale 2012 (until September 17, 2012).

The design "Yuki no Megumi" (Gift of Snow) uses a punched dot pattern on the cup's sides to represent snowflakes falling on Mt. Naeba. The overlapping sides create a moire pattern that changes with the viewing angle, liquid level, and position, animating the falling snow effect while visually accentuating the sweetness of the sake.
