SHAKE SYNC exhibited at RSK Sanyo Broadcasting (Okayama)

From November 1 to 27, 2022, a light art installation titled "Yuragi no Ma" (Space of Fluctuation) — created using SHAKE SYNC — was exhibited in the first-floor lobby hall of RSK Sanyo Broadcasting in Okayama City. It marked the first showing of SHAKE SYNC in Okayama, developed jointly by Hakuhodo, Osaka University, and Zero by Zero.

"Yuragi no Ma" is an immersive spatial installation built around the idea of healing through the rhythms that appear in everyday life. The light emitted by each SHAKE SYNC block carries the "1/f fluctuation" rhythm — a natural frequency pattern associated with feelings of comfort and calm. Multiple blocks arranged in front of full-mirror folding screens caused the light to reflect and scatter into depth, creating an enveloping world of warmth and stillness.

SHAKE SYNC blocks turn on and off when shaken, and pass their color of light to neighboring blocks when brought close. During the exhibition, a free-play area allowed visitors of all ages to interact with the blocks directly, discovering the potential of SHAKE SYNC as both interactive art and everyday interior. An experience workshop was also held on November 19.

Exhibition Period: November 1 (Tue) – November 27 (Sun), 2022 Venue: RSK Sanyo Broadcasting, 1F Lobby Hall (9-24 Tenjin-cho, Kita-ku, Okayama City)
