Kvel & Fish at SaloneSatellite 2016 Milano

From April 12 to 17, 2016, Zero by Zero exhibited at SaloneSatellite during the Salone del Mobile international furniture fair in Milan, Italy. It was the studio's first major international exhibition.

Two works were shown. Kvel is an LED candle light that flickers to music — insert it into a glass or candle holder, and it produces a flame-like glow that responds to ambient sound and music, bringing natural, living light to bars, restaurants, and homes. Fish is a "communication light" co-developed with Osaka University and University of Hyogo: a school of fish-shaped LED units that pass light from one to the next without any wiring, creating a flowing luminous effect like fish swimming in formation.

Facing designers and buyers from around the world, this appearance at Salone marked a significant step for Zero by Zero onto the global stage.
